Este curso es la segunda de dos partes. En la primera parte discutimos los combustibles que tradicionalmente utilizados por el ser humano a través de muchos años; petróleo y carbón. En esta segunda parte hablamos de gas natural y biocombustibles, cuyo uso ha aumentado significativamente en los últimos años principalmente debido a los beneficios ambientales de los mismos.

En el curso se habla de la definición, historia y clasificación de estos dos combustibles, así como el uso, impacto del uso y precio del mismo. El curso incluye una discusión de las razones para el transporte de gas natural en forma gaseosa por medio de tuberías, así como en forma líquida (LNG) utilizando barcos metaneros; y el impacto en el precio del gas natural en diferentes mercados alrededor del mundo que reciben gas natural por medio de tuberías o en forma líquida en barcos metaneros.

  • Dial-up access will be significantly slower, and we do not recommend it for using our system.

    Compatible browsers include:

  • Google Chrome 32 bit version 50 or later (recommended for optimal compatibility, this has been thoroughly tested on Windows)

    Safari 10 or later (recommended for optimal compatibility, this has been thoroughly tested on Mac)

    Note that add-ons and toolbars can affect any browser's performance.

  • MS Internet Explorer is not recommended

Settings

    We recommend that the following be enabled:

  • Cookies

  • Pop-ups (in both Internet browser and security software)

  • Javascript

  • We recommend that you use the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.

Software

  • We recommend that you use the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

  • To view all the resources uploaded to Hazmat Authority, you will probably need to have Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or an equivalent (e.g. Open Office, Viewer) installed.

Security

    With all firewalls, ensure that you enable uploading of files.
